"Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn" Pub Day!

Today is publishing day for "Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn"! The publisher is Macmillan/Henry Holt, and you can find our picture book at most book stores and on-line retailers. Based on memories of my mother's long walks into Maryland's forests and parks, "Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn" is about a young girl and her friends as they walk through the woods and a local town. On their day out, they see the deep greens of summer change to the ruddy, glowing warm colors of the coming fall. Our book has gotten some really nice reviews --- something that I did not anticipate. Thank you so much for your support --- I hope you like "Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn"!

I Found Something Important To You

Here's another tribute to our fall season.  I've called this character
different names (based on my mother's initials), but these days she's
just Sunny.  Life has many mysteries,  and Sunny looks for things
that you may have lost.  Sometimes, they're important things you've
lost, but don't realize are missing!

Autumn Crow

Having lived on the west coast for some time now, I still miss
the east coast fall time loam, dead leaves in the wind, and the
dark, quiet evenings.

Blue Jay

I used to see Blue Jays late into autumn.  Of all the seasons in Maryland,
I miss fall time the most.  Hope everyone had a really nice Thanksgiving!
